Our client, a full-service, fine-dining restaurant located in La Crosse, WI, is seeking experienced General Manager candidates to help lead their team. This popular restaurant offers a menu featuring seasonal American Cuisine with a focus on the freshest ingredients and from-scratch cooking.

The GM is responsible and accountable for all restaurant activities, and assumes complete responsibility for the restaurant as necessary. The GM ensures all employees are performing their job responsibilities and meeting expectations in all areas of their job descriptions. As an empowered team member, you are required to be adaptive, proactive, aware, intuitive and masterful in your leadership position, and to generate ideas to improve and enhance restaurant operations and the guest experience.

  • Establishing operational budgets and business plans that maximize performance and profitability
  • Presenting and explaining financial reports on a monthly quarterly and year-end basis
  • Staffing & developing a professional and team-focused restaurant management team
  • Executing policies and procedures for the control of cash, property, product and equipment
  • Providing FOH, BOH & Catering with operational tools needed to maximize performance and service
  • Coordinating and negotiating all vendor contracts
  • Maintaining positive guest relations, and ensuring products are consistent with quality standards
  • Fulfilling restaurant opening and closing procedure
  • Ensuring high standards of sanitation, cleanliness and safety
  • Ensuring all services to guests are conducted in a highly professional and efficient manner

  • Bachelor’s Degree – preferably in culinary arts or restaurant management
  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ supervisory/management experience in culinary/food and beverage
  • 3 years’ experience in independent restaurant operations preferred
  • ServSafe certified or equivalent
